Many people enjoy reading cartoons because there are many differing types of cartoon that appeal to many different people. Some cartoons are high adventure action; some are just humorous and some are social dramas but they all follow a pictorial story line that is easy to read. It is easy because a large part of the story is immediately understood from the cartoon picture. It is often said that one picture equals a thousand words, and this is the essence of every cartoon. Therefore, it is very easy for many people without high reading skills to engage in even a long cartoon story, with little concentration and effort, and gain considerable enjoyment. It is easy reading.

As an example, I will mention the cartoon “Spiderman”. It is full of action and excitment. Each drawing reinforces my understanding of the story so it is so easy to follow and gives me more imagination from the colourful pictures. I am sure that it excites many other people in the same way.
